My name is Desiree, and I'm from a small town in southern Idaho. A little over five years ago, I made the move to the East Coast where I lived in Baltimore. Most recently, I now call myself a New Yorker (even though the small-town girl in me is never gone). I live for a good cup of coffee in the morning, any baked goods, and summer time. I'm inspired by those who show up every day with something to say and do. I'm also endlessly inspired by my family and how lucky I am to have them as mine. This blog is an evolving project; to learn how to cook and bake the foods of my childhood, told through my Portuguese grandmother and her four sisters. I hope you enjoy and learn something too!
