Hi All!
Like a lot of people, I’m a total chocolate-lover, and chocolate mousse recipe from my Tia Elvira, does not disappoint in satisfying the sweetest of a chocolate tooth! The mousse is really rich in taste, while also being light and fluffy in texture – perfect combination! Oh and it’s really easy to make.
Enjoy!
Yields: 8 servings
Ingredients:
2/3 cup unsalted butter
200 grams chocolate bar, 65-70% cocoa
6 eggs, separated
1 1/2 tablespoons Port wine
3/4 cup granulated sugar
Directions:
1) In a medium-sized pot, melt butter and chocolate over medium heat. Remove from heat and slowly add beaten egg yolks, stirring constantly but slowly so as to not scramble the eggs. Add wine and stir.
2) In a separate bowl, beat egg whites, slowly adding in sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form, and then gently fold into chocolate. Pour into small ramekin dishes, and set in refrigerator for 2-3 hours before serving. Top with shaved chocolate or fruit.
This is so cute!
